Warm Cookies Come to Rupert Street: Happy Crumb Bakery Opens in Soho
Happy Crumbs Bakery

Soho just got a little sweeter. Happy Crumb Bakery - a proudly British, queer-led bakery with a seriously devoted following - has landed a permanent pitch on Rupert Street, right outside Rupert Street Bar, and they're serving warm cookies every Tuesday to Saturday from 3pm to 10pm.

Baked fresh daily in their Battersea/Nine Elms production kitchen and served warm on-site, the menu centres on a signature trio: Classic Chocolate, White Chocolate, and the unapologetically indulgent Quadruple Chocolate. There's also a plant-based Apple Crumble Cookie for those who like their treats a little more autumnal, plus a rotating selection of dessert-inspired limited editions that change with the seasons.

This week's launch special is the Bread & Butter Pudding Cookie - made with toasted brioche, custard cookie dough, gentle spice and a hint of orange zest. It is, frankly, exactly what Soho evenings were made for.

The bakery itself has quite the story. Founded in 2024 from a home kitchen, Happy Crumb was forced to pause after a flood put them out of action - but they rebuilt through markets, online orders, corporate gifting and West End event work before arriving at this permanent Soho home. The Rupert Street pitch marks a significant milestone, and one the neighbourhood should be rather pleased about.

Cookies are priced from £3.75 to £4.25, which feels like a bargain for something baked fresh and handed to you warm on a Soho street.
